Parents have the option of providing a packed lunch for their child or school lunches can be purchased, by booking in advance. Parents may be eligible to apply for free school lunches for their child and we will be pleased to advise, in the strictest confidence, anybody requiring help.
For those children bringing a packed lunch from home we need to ensure satisfactory storage of the meal until lunchtime. The packed lunch should be in a clearly labelled lunch box and not in a carrier bag!
Children going home for lunch during the mid-day break will not be expected to return to school until ten minutes before the afternoon session starts. This is obviously most important in the case of fire or other emergencies during the lunch break.
There are four fountains from which the children can obtain a drink of water. If your child does bring a drink to school with their lunch, it should be either a carton or in a flask which must fit into the sandwich box. No sweets, cans or fizzy drinks are permitted.
